The 7.62×39mm M4SF is the compact carbine configuration of the 7.62×39mm M1 family, in service with the Bulgarian Joint Special Operations Command and Bulgarian Military Police, distinguished by a 215mm barrel and folding stock. The shortened barrel reduces muzzle velocity to 600 m/s and sighting range to 500m; overall length is 760mm extended and 520mm folded, with an unloaded weight of 3.38kg. The system chambers 7.62×39mm cartridges from standard 30-round AK-pattern magazines.
Available for institutional procurement by ministries of defence, authorized defence contractors, and licensed importers.
