The 7.62×39mm assault rifle with a short barrel and folding stock is a compact configuration of Arsenal AD’s licensed assault rifle family – the Bulgarian-manufactured AK derivative in licensed production since the mid-1960s – differentiated by its 215mm barrel and 520mm folded overall dimension. The shortened barrel reduces muzzle velocity to 600 m/s and sighting range to 500m relative to the standard 415mm configuration; the metal folding stock deploys to 760mm extended. Ammunition compatibility with 7.62×39mm cartridges is unchanged relative to full-length platform variants.
