The 5.56×45mm M9 is the semi-automatic configuration of the Arsenal AR-M9 series – the export-oriented AK derivative deployed in multiple programmes since 2000 – listed among the semi-automatic rifles in the Atlas supply catalogue and differentiated from the select-fire AR-M1 by its single-fire mode, 970mm overall length, and 3.85kg unloaded weight. The M9 retains the 415mm barrel, STANAG-compatible 30-round magazine feed, and 1350m maximum effective range common to the AR-M1 configuration. The M9 and select-fire variants share 5.56×45mm cartridge compatibility acrossthe Arsenal 5.56mm export range.
