The 7.62×39mm M2F is the intermediate compact variant of the 7.62×39mm M1 family, distinguished by a shorter 320mm barrel and a folding metal stock. The shortened barrel lowers muzzle velocity to 650 m/s and sighting range to 500m, and reduces overall length to 860mm extended and 610mm folded, with an unloaded weight of 3.5kg. The system retains compatibility with 7.62×39mm cartridges and standard 30-round AK-pattern magazines.
