Atlas International Group deliver and supply 40 mm cartridge tear gas. The main purpose of this ammunition is to control large hostile crowds, such as during a riot or protest that has become too aggressive. There are several different cartridge tear gas varieties and the correct use depends on the range and severity of the situation.
Tear gas takes down a hostile target through irritation, pain and potentially bleeding. The chemicals can even cause temporary blindness in certain targets, making it an effective way to shut down a large crowd or clear a room of unprotected soldiers.
Atlas International Group offers three varieties of 40 mm cartridge tear gas.
40mm Cartridge Tear Gas (03 projectiles)
Also known as the CTG2 3P, these have a minimum range of 75 m and are the standard round fired from 40 mm anti-riot weapons. They are designed for general purpose use and the smoke is emitted for around 15 to 25 seconds. They can be used both on exposed crowds and also tight corridors in close quarters combat. These are a standard choice for both private military companies and police forces.
40mm Cartridge Tear Gas (long range)
The CTG2 LR has a much longer range than the other two cartridge tear gas. These are excellent for long-range engagements thanks to the minimum range of 135 m. these are more difficult to use effectively, but can be a life saver when operatives have to retreat.
40mm Cartridge Tear Gas (short range)
Also known as the CTG2 SR, this has an effective range of 80 – 120 m, making it an excellent cartridge tear gas to use in a variety of situations such as close quarters combat or even crowd dispersion.
