The AR-M1 plastic folding butt variant features a polymer side-folding shoulder stock, producing an overall length of 960mm (stock extended) and 722mm (stock folded). Weight without magazine is 3.84 kg.

Compared to the metal folding-butt AR-M1F (945mm extended / 695mm folded / 3.67 kg), the polymer stock construction results in a larger folded geometry and greater weight – the polymer housing accommodates a wider contact surface than the tubular metal design.

The 415mm barrel, 370mm sight radius, 30-round polycaproamide magazine, and 15,000-round system service life are common across the AR-M1 family. Compatible 7.62×39mm cartridges are listed in the Atlas supply catalogue alongside fixed-stock and metal folding-butt configurations in the assault rifles section.
